Owner Kevin Corr has been certified by ECAN, the Environmental Consulting & Affiliates Network, for environmental testing and inspections. The start to a cleaner, toxic-free living environment is a thorough inspection. ARE Inspections offers tests for allergens (identifying allergy causing sources), mold, bacteria, and volatile organic compounds (VOC's). Dangerous, disease causing toxins such as asbestos and radon can be identified for removal.

Before You Call ARE Inspections

1. Do you take moisture readings every day and will you give me the drying log?
2. Are your technicians certified in water damage restoration?
3. Where do you think the moisture is coming from, and who fixes it?
4. Will you set up containment and negative air, and how will you protect the rest of the home?
5. Do you also do remediation? If so, who checks your work?

Ask for a California contractor license number and look it up with the Contractors State License Board. Also ask for proof of insurance and industry certification for the restoration crew.
