Before You Call Clean Slate

1. Do you take moisture readings every day and will you give me the drying log?
2. Are your technicians certified in water damage restoration?
3. Where do you think the moisture is coming from, and who fixes it?
4. Will you set up containment and negative air, and how will you protect the rest of the home?
5. Do you also do remediation? If so, who checks your work?

For mold jobs over 10 square feet, ask for a New York State licensed mold remediator and a separately licensed mold assessor, plus the Nassau or Suffolk County home improvement license. Also ask for proof of insurance and industry certification for the restoration crew.
