2. Are your technicians certified in water damage restoration?
3. How will you deal with smoke odor inside wall cavities and the HVAC ducts?
4. Do you do contents pack out, and will I get an itemized inventory?
5. Will you remove the carpet and pad that the sewage touched?

Ask for a Maryland Home Improvement Commission license number and look it up with the state. Also ask for proof of insurance, industry certification for the restoration crew and lead safe certification for any pre-1978 home.
