San Antonio sits at the edge of the Hill Country, in a part of Texas known as Flash Flood Alley. Rain that falls on thin soil and limestone runs off fast, and creeks and low water crossings can rise several feet in minutes. Never drive or walk through moving water. Checking a License in San Antonio

For mold jobs of 25 contiguous square feet or more, ask for a state licensed mold assessor to write the plan and a separate state licensed mold remediation contractor to do the cleanup, because Texas does not let the same company do both on one project. Look up both license numbers on the department’s website before you sign.
Texas has no statewide license for general contractors, so for rebuild work ask for proof of liability insurance and check with your city about permits. Plumbers are licensed by the state, so a slab leak or burst pipe repair should be done by a licensed plumber. For the drying and cleanup itself, ask whether the technicians hold industry certification in water damage or mold remediation.
