2. Are your technicians certified in water damage restoration?
3. Where do you think the moisture is coming from, and who fixes it?
4. Will you set up containment and negative air, and how will you protect the rest of the home?
5. How will you deal with smoke odor inside wall cavities and the HVAC ducts?

Ask for a Maryland Home Improvement Commission license number and look it up with the state, or in Delaware ask for the contractor’s state business license and any state trade license. Also ask for proof of insurance, industry certification for the restoration crew and lead safe certification for any pre-1978 home.
