Kingman sits in the high desert at about 3,300 feet, between the Hualapai and Cerbat mountains. It is cooler than the low desert, and winter nights often drop below freezing. Pipes in garages, outside walls and under manufactured homes can freeze, so wrap them and keep the heat on when you travel.
