2. How many air samples will you take, and will you take an outdoor control sample?
3. Is your company licensed for asbestos abatement here?
4. Who takes the samples, and which lab tests them?
5. Is your firm certified under the federal lead renovation rule?

Ask for the contractor registration your city or village requires, since Illinois has no statewide general contractor license, and check it with the local building department. Also ask for proof of insurance and industry certification for the technicians.
