In the late ‘70s, business consultant Mack Clark found a niche in the cleaning and restoration industry. Often called “the grandfather of restoration marketing”, he developed a reputation for building large restoration companies through better systems, coaching, and teamwork. STOP combines proven business and marketing systems with high-level technical training in a profitable, scalable, recession resistant industry. Second-generation “Clark” ownership brought new investment and technology to STOP. In fact, STOP was acquired by fast-growing franchise group Authority Brands in late 2020, making this an exciting time for the brand.

1. Do you take moisture readings every day and will you give me the drying log?
2. Are your technicians certified in water damage restoration?
3. Where do you think the moisture is coming from, and who fixes it?
4. Will you set up containment and negative air, and how will you protect the rest of the home?
5. Do you also do remediation? If so, who checks your work?

Ask for the contractor license your city or county requires, since Indiana has no statewide general contractor license, and use a state licensed plumber for pipe repairs. Also ask for proof of insurance and industry certification for the technicians.
